Inleiding
Zoals bekend geeft Microsoft vol gas op het Role-Based certificeringsmodel. In dat kader neemt Microsoft afscheid van de veelal verouderde technische trainingen. En ook hier laat Microsoft er geen gras over groeien.
Zo zijn al vele examens voor de technische trainingen per 31 januari 2021 met pensioen gestuurd. Vraag dan ook, wanneer zijn de trainingen zelf aan de beurt?
31 december 2021: 75(!) technische trainingen gaan met pensioen
Ja, je leest het goed. Op 31 december 2021 gaan er in totaal 75 technische trainingen met pensioen! Dat is een indrukwekkend aantal maar – in mijn optiek – een hoog nodige schoning van het trainingsaanbod (less is more!).
Zie onderstaande lijst met welke trainingen dit allemaal zijn.
Moeten we hier blij mee zijn?
Aan de ene kant wel, want zoals ik al eerder aangaf, het huidige aanbod is behoorlijk gedateerd en vervuild.
Wel hoop ik dat Microsoft bepaalde technische trainingen een nieuwe plek geeft in het Role-Based aanbod. Hoewel Microsoft dat voor sommige trainingen wel doet, is de vertaalslag niet altijd even goed.
Zo wordt een SQL Transact Querying training die nu 5 dagen duurt (M20761) teruggebracht naar een training van 2 dagen, de DP-080.
Hoewel Microsoft zegt dat te doen o.b.v. vraag vanuit de markt, heb ik zelf hier zo mijn twijfels bij. Tijd zal het uitwijzen wie er gelijk heeft.
